Back in the day

I recently moved house and found these old puppies buried in the corner. It took me back to when i first started shaping in my mums back garage and how damn long ago that was! I was 16 when my fascination with surfboards began... which means its now been about 11 years or so since i built my first board from start to finish! Crazy! How time flies! And even crazier... i still really enjoy doing it for a living.

Back then i called my boards "OTB" which stood for out the back. I am actually surprised at how good they feel... i thought they would be heapas. (toot toot) I've nearly gotten rid of them that many times but am glad i didn't cause its always good to reflect and see where you've come from as a shaper. The love affair continues!

jay phillips july asl cover

Greetings! been meaning to start this thing for a while now. Thought a cover on asl would be an appropriate starting point. This is one of my team riders, Jay Phillips, out kirra on that amazing swell we were getting, well i shouldn't say "we"... I was in hawaii at the time, and although i shouldn't complain the waves were pretty average over there. I had to watch smokin kirra on the net and couldn't wait to get back! haha pretty funny really. Anyways, nice work phillips! Get the magnifying glass out... Thats my green logo just in front of his front foot. haha But i'll take it!
