In the making: Rat and Snake

A little time lapse clip of Matty Neilsen decorating his new foam. Funny thing is he hates rats and snakes! New boards include a Garage gem and a  new model we've been testing called 'Slash N Burn'.
Enjoy...

Garage Gem days

There's been some perfect days to break out the Garage Gem on the Gold Coast lately. Matt Neilsen sent through these shots with some feedback on his board..."I have been riding my GG a lot. I've had so many good sessions on that model. You can just get it so tight in the pocket on your turns, and then i guess that tail rocker and V combination just releases so good out of the top."
Matty rides his Garage Gem at 5'10"x19 3/4"x 2 3/8" which is 4' shorter and 3/4" wider than his standard shortboard.

Sunday Funday!

Perfect conditions here on the Gold Coast over the weekend. The beachies and points fired up with lite offshore winds and 3ft of East swell. As for myself, I tried to dodge the crowds at snapper (for once), surfing Dbah, and then a mission to the elusive straddy with mediocre results.

Here is a few shots of the Simmo team captured doing some shredding on the beachies.

2011!

Well, another year is upon us, and its been a pretty good start to the year. Between work and consistent waves rearing their beautiful heads, there's been plenty to do. And with the new logos at the printer and the website under construction, it's going to be a big year for Simmo shapes.

Here is a few shots of the simmo team doing some flaring in that swell we've been getting.
